Tiger Tale Journal -- Cat Thoughts on Life, Religion and Politics

The greater part of what my neighbors call good, I believe in my soul to be bad, and if I repent of anything, it is very likely to be my good behavior. What demon possessed me that I behaved so well? --Henry Thoreau

Mrs. Alito Weeps

What a scene! She weeps!

Oh, THE HUMANITY!

Somebody slap that woman and inform her that she's married to a misogynistic Crypto-Fascist bastard!

Excuse me.....I feel a hair-ball coming on.

Interesting choice to use a slap as an eye opener for one's acceptance of misogyny...
I watched that part with real confusion, and felt the descriptions did not match the reality of what I saw. I posted on Alito today on LTN out of sheer frustration....

Oh, I caught the irony myself.....but went with my gut feeling--right or wrong.

I felt no confusion I saw that production. I'm sure it was staged to gain sympathy for Alito.

Any crime family that would murder a man like Paul Wellstone can certainly come up with a few tears to cement their death-grip on the throat of America.

I'm sure the woman is stressed, but those tears seemed awfully well planned. I dunno - maybe I'm becoming too cynical. Comes from complete and absolute political disenchantment.

Mrs. Alito is stressed, but needs to be held accountable.

She is theatrically supporting a man who is attempting to join the Bush Crime Family in a conspiricy to take America another step down the road to Fascism.

We shoot terrorists of other flavors. Perhaps the entire Bush Cabal merits a slap on the face or even a punch in the nose.

Impeachment would be an option also.

Well what I meant was that her tears seemed timed, and later the 'commentators' seemed to feel that Graham etc. had been this blessed relief after all the meanies. While I found Schumer for example to be a bit snarky,(love him anyway) I think it is ridiculous to portray a seasoned groomed republicon like Alito as a victim. I read some of the press releases (AKA spin) from some of the senate offices the night before which made the script for day three predictable.
The beauty of the abortion question is that they contrived this scenario perfectly: he can hide behind the assertion that he 'should not' pre-determine possible outcomes of untried cases/those on docket. If he had caved on Roe, the Dems would have taken the other side, on judicial predetermination.Schumer was correct to maintain the hypocrisy of commerce clause, but see how the poor victim Alito kept returning to Brown? He was prepped very well.
Wadena, you're quite the spunky cat today. Its not all about sunbeams and fish, is it?

Hmmmmm.....I do get a bit emotional every time I see a Crypto-Fascist sliding into the Supreme Court.

One of my little quirks, I guess.

Oh well, we carry on.

I'm gonna find a sun-beam now though.

I need to relax.
