Hamas Win Helps Bush
Let's just say--just to throw out an idea......that Bush really WANTED Hamas to win that election.He has caused radical factions all over the world to gain in strength over the moderates because people fear Bush and support those who vow to destroy him.
Iran. Egypt. Lebanon. Palestine. Iraq. All showing wins or strong gains by radical anti-American political parties.
Fear and hate helped Bush gain power in America.
Fear and hate of Bush help his enemies around the globe to gain power.
Stupid, hateful and fearful people of many nations voting stupidly ...... making decisions based on fear and hate and skillful propaganda.
Bush is simply crafting an endless supply of enemies to fear and hate.....because he knows that he can thus ensure votes for Republicans who vow to destroy those enemies and save America.
Bush loves democracy? Of course he does.
Now I see the master plan.

As to the other quote.....what if the tyranny is a tyranny of the unwashed, brainwashed, brain-dead masses....
You know, like the current American self-tyranny.
What then?
Well, its hard to decipher where tyranny begins and willful oblivion ends...and do we blame those who propagandize against us? Or our willingness to believe...Our constitution arguably provides for a certain amount of distrust for an ignorant populace, and supposedly provides for an unchecked overarching power grab...wonder why they didn't have the forsight to stop their own documents from becoming 'pieces of paper'...the politicalization of law remains one of our more regretful shams..
The founders of this nation had no way of knowing that Fox News would come along to brainwash willing and weak-minded followers.
And that the rest of the media would follow them down the pathway to hell.
So we come full circle again Wadena to my defense of anarchy...
The righties plan is very simple. Keep them scared. Take their loot and give it to our corporate buddies. Retire fat and happy while the masses fear gays and terrorist. It works well when a third of the population treats a man like he is diety.
Gosh Lil, I'm not at all sure what you mean by anarchy....or, how serious you are.
I think we need to have compassion written into our legal system.....and we need to kill anybody who fails to love their neighbor.

James....I think maybe it's a little more than fear. Hate and greed enter into the equation for most people.
And then there's this.....
In times past, most people voted for leaders they saw as wiser than them.
Now people are, for the most part, choosing leaders that they see as SIMILAR to themselves.....or even stupider than themselves.
Good for self-esteem?
We are left with a paucity of good leaders and those are beaten down by knuckledraggers and media that pander to the knuckledraggers.
And you are right.....the mind-killing fear dominates everything.
Maybe prosperity has done us in.
We have prospered to the extent that even the very poor have a lot to lose.....and even the rich have a lot more to want.
And the commercials that bombard us say, "You need more."

Now there are very few with nothing and most everybody is focused on protecting that somethin' that they think they've got.
And it's really only stuff.
Well- SOMEBODY knew they were going to win- A whole bunch of made in China GREEN Baseball caps appeared out of nowhere in less than an hour... and BTW if Bush call them "Hummus" ONE more time...drives me nuts...
Lily came up with great quotes again- but the Tyranny quote - see the thing is I think in Bush's brain if the Tyrant has control over a country over poor folk, that happen to worship a different "God", and live on top of oil...well- then they just be needing some DEMOCKERACY....and that means that they of course get bombed first...
and sadly you can't have a "Sucessful Spread of Demockracy " without the fat wellfed corporate thugs feeding the "Spread" with Hatred , Greed and worse..."Righteousness."
( but that is what the King calls "Freedom")
Bush is an outdoorsman and a bit of a nature guy and knows that mature forests need a good forest fire to create a good environment for an explosion of new life.
Or....he heard that somewhere....or saw it on t.v. or something....
So he equates the necessary DemocraBombing of mature countries with a forest fire....creating a lush new environment where the green shoots of tiny baby windfall profits can pop up all over the place.
Which is called....Freedom (to take profits).
Or, simply....Democracy.
