He even had a nice nude pic of my favorite Chicks recently. We should ever remember their early and ground-breaking work in Bush-hating and War-Protesting. Prophets, they were.....and well ahead of the curve and not afraid to reveal their own.
Myself.....I've been too busy for words lately (writing them, that is). Left a quick response to Lily and TP on Red Deer.

Hi Wadena, thanks for coming by and the nice words. I love the Chicks, except for their "Earl must Die" song. My grandaughter is a fresh-woman at the U of Minneasota this year.

If you were a farm girl it might bring back some memories like it did for TP.
Barn cats.....ah, that was a long time ago.
Earl, my daughter was a there a few years ago, but found it too noisy and went back to U of M Duluth (which is a homey little campus in a cool town) to major in Environmental Studies.
Now she's procrastinating about her Masters program because she's become a bird gypsy and having too much fun living in a tent and studying birds in various places.
But......."Earl's Gotta Die" was a fantastic song!!! You just gotta quit taking it personally. The video is hilarious.

The way things vanish for you is disturbing. Could you possibly be living on the very edge of a parallel universe and popping in and out of the two places?
This is serious (unless the other universe has a sane America led by a functional president--in that case perhaps you could try to make a permanent home there and send us info on how to get there).
Lily is trying to avoid the crow- because no matter how much we stand there and try to reason, even befriend them- crows do what they do. And I think you cannot take the crow out of the bird, even though you want to believe that crows are victims somehow. Their way is often to victimize others.
You are wise, Lily.
Such wisdom does not come quickly or easily.
It is always purchased with time and pain.
So mourn and rejoice.
The Chicks are like a lot of us...we saw what was coming. And even with the Prez's dismal ratings, they still wait to be vindicated outside of our blogging "told you so" circles.
I can't afford cable, which is a blessing. It's still amazing to me on network news to hear blathering about the Liberal Media. I already feel like I'm living in an alternate universe...watching the 5:30 news, I keep waiting for Nimoy to wander by with that pencil-thin mustache.
We need some old-fashioned Teddy Roosevelt monopoly busting -- both in political money and the 4th estate. The Democrats will never do us any good as long as they are at the same slop trough, sucking the same teats.

oh and by the way...had to go over and talk to miss oakley; it just didn't seem right after reading a little of her blog for her to be calling people names. Myself, I'm spiritual, but not aligned with any of the religions...couldn't resist suggesting she think more about the example of Christ before she goes calling others names like hater. I resisted taking her to task for her suggestive photo (pretty much topless).

Yeah, ya gotta love the Chicks. They absorbed an incredible amount of hatred and rage from the knuckledraggers and prevailed.
And yes, the media are, for the most part, pandering to the CryptoFascist majority in America.
I guess some of the Cryptos are so Crypto that they themselves are not aware that they are Fascists.....people like Carrie O.
(I'm aware that Carrie O. is a mythical figure, but there are many real ones who think much like she does.....a shocking reality.)
At least, I hope Carrie is a mythical figure....I haven't had time for more than a quick scan of her recent posts.

Cat???Its been a loooooong time...meow??
Well folks, I'm in the process of getting a back-up laptop for this old computer in case it crashes.
This whole process has been a little bit confusing and difficult.
Now, at least this old computer seems to be working ok again.
The new (used, actually) laptop (which was to be run wireless and migrate around the house) is beset with problems.
But, I hope things get better soon and I have time to pay more attention here.
