Tiger Tale Journal -- Cat Thoughts on Life, Religion and Politics

The greater part of what my neighbors call good, I believe in my soul to be bad, and if I repent of anything, it is very likely to be my good behavior. What demon possessed me that I behaved so well? --Henry Thoreau

DONE WITH CHENEY SHOOTING! Now......On to More Important Things.

Ok......so I just happened to glance at my shampoo container and had to come back here and ask about this.....

It says, "NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS!"

So......does that mean it's being tested on me?

They apparently don't realize that humans are animals.

Well the practice of using animals to test ingredients ALREADY tested by others repeatedly always struck me as unnecessarily cruel.

But consider our government and the fact that vaccines, immunizations, pharmaceuticals..are tested on military and civilian subjects and have been many times throughout history without the subject's knowledge, permission or understanding. Look At MKULTRA< Jacobs ladder, Tuskegee, Gulf War syndrome, DU...

Now, my sales pitch:
Please consider participating and blogwhoring for Corporation Appreciation Week next week, details

Please spread the word, the idea is to highlight some of the more horrific polluters, etc. and hopefully after some discussion, maybe talk about some ways to take small step actions. (optimistic? Perhaps) I am going to spend next week posting all around on this theme, and we'll see if we can get a few folks from our 'community' to pitch in. Let me know if I can count you in, as I want to put links up of blogs willing to participate at Lose The Noose and at Consider The Boot...thanks!

the next generations of the earth will be suffering because for a hundred years or so the people of the earth were obsessed with flavouring their sweat (CFCs).

Please only buy products that say they were never tested on animals. Maybe someday it will be against the law to test such things as cosmetics, shampoos etc on animals. I hope so. Come on, how many different shampoos and stuff like that do we need and can we use.

Sorry to hop up on the soapbox here but it's a subject that makes me get all soapbox-ie.

The thing about Dick Cheney is that we paid for every dime of his vacation with the Ambassadress of Switzerland and his shooting victim.

Dick Cheney should work it off by being the lab rat for all cosmetics until that freaked up heart of his realizes that it has no soul and he dies and stays that way.

It will never happen, we will continue to fund all his vacations and to find high paying jobs for all the women in his life until the end of time and how much money does a democracy czar make anyway???

More money than we can imagine, Granny! Wouldn't hurt him to have a few little things tested on him.....napalm maybe.

:)

And PO'd Pat.....I totally agree with you....stay on that soapbox!!!

Lily....I'm there.

We shall overcome the CFC and corporate poisoners.....I vow to help by not posting any more garbage about Cheney!!

Not sure how true it is, just something I picked up somewhere...apparently, companies can now say their soaps, shampoos, etc aren't tested on animals if the FINISHED product was not tested, even if the individual ingredients were. Just another thing to consider.
